Day 10
We did a big day today, just under 28 miles. Maybe a little less tomorrow? We found a wonderful country hotel in Abanallis. The Rincón de Antón. The normal restaurant hours opened at 8:30. We were very hungry, they opened the kitchen early for us and we had a wonderful meal. Clara as hostess took excellent care of us, with cooking by her mother, Nanny. Keith also had a nice visit with Clara’s father Tarno! I mentioned that we spent last night (Saturday night) in an old convent. The rooms are converted nun cells. There are still some rules for such a place. The door was locked when we returned from our dinner with Gabor and Katherine at 10:15! We panicked for a bit, then found a way to reach the host and get in. Whew! City street is Santillana Del Mar where we spend Saturday night. A historic town.
