Day three

We love when people comment! Please do us a small favor and write your name in your comment so we know it is you!

I placed a red arrow at our approximate location today, just past #5 on the map. It was another challenging day, with 22.8 miles and 3,921 feet of elevation gain. The inclines and declines have been more challenging than we expected.

Today we walked away from the sea. We will return soon. We met and had a short chat with a couple from Australia, and had a quick chat with 2 young ladies, one from Germany and one from Italy. We are staying in touch with our new friend from Houston. Tonight she is in the same hotel we were in last night.

In the photo below, we are about 53 miles or about 10% in. We are still getting along!

There is a church built around these boulders. They are easily 15 feet tall! It was a cool space to rest a bit!

I wonder how long this rock fence has stood?

The path is marked with the the symbol of the shell. Often just a blue and yellow sign, but this one, in a smaller town, is raised brass in the sidewalk.

We saw several dog houses today, cool design with the red tile roof.

Black Berries! People say “the Camino provides”. One example is blackberries along the route.

Cool shaped stump

The teal color is atypical.

Our lodging tonight. Nice place, very reasonable. It is wider at the back than the front. Is that a trapezoid?
