Day 2
Today, we did more than we intended. We walked 25.6 miles and within that distance we climbed 4,491 feet. We did that in about 9 1/2 hours of walking. That’s 2.7 mph with some
Intense climbing.
We walked through vineyards, cities, towns, eucalyptus forests, pine forests, seaside paths. Good weather, no rain, some sun, but stayed in the 70s.
We ended our day in Itziar, found a nice hotel with a nice restaurant and menu.
A sample of various terrains we walked over, add pastures, streets and highways to this list.

Wow, quite a day.Enjoying the updates.
ReplyDeleteD-Vine. Relishing the memories.. the narrow streets, rough surfaces trod upon, the cowbells were a welcome sound in very foggy conditions, and lastly your dinner venue … 🤩 Purrfect

ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous!! Trip of a lifetime!! Thanks for taking us along!! 😍
ReplyDeleteFantastic pictures. Looks like the weather is cooperating as well. I noticed an arrow on a drain pipe in the picture of the street you walked down. Is your path that well marked out for you or is the arrow for something else?
ReplyDeleteYes! The trail is pretty well marked, either with the shell symbol we have posted, or with a yellow arrow. Those are either a blue sticker with the arrow, or simply yellow pained on some surface. We also have phone apps to validate the right way if we have any doubt. We have not been lost yet, a few times we started the wrong way and then corrected within a few steps.
